As a luxury wellness enthusiast from Hamburg, my recent stay at Stadthotel left me with mixed feelings. the hotel's historic charm drew me in, promising a unique experience, but the reality fell short in several aspects. the advertised amenities-such as the spa & wellness centre and on-site restaurant-did not quite meet expectations. While there was a bar/lounge area where I could relax, the indifferent attitude of the staff detracted significantly from the overall atmosphere. the housekeeping services were underwhelming, and it often felt like the hotel was in need of renovations. In terms of value, I believe there are better options in the area that can offer a more inviting experience and attentive service for similar pricing. While it has potential, the lack of warmth and upkeep might make you question whether the luxury is really worth the price.
